OBJECTIVE

To encourage downloads of happn by achieving positive coverage for the app in consumer, broadcast and business media.  To position happn as experts in dating and one of the UK’s most popular dating apps in the UK.

OUR SOLUTION & RESULTS

As well as undertaking research looking at the dating habits of people in the UK we partnered with dating expert, Hayley Quinn and happn’s in-house head of trends, Claire Certain to offer expert comment. To celebrate the app hitting 50 million users worldwide we organised a press trip to the company’s HQ in Paris where top business journalists interviewed founder, Didier Rapport. When the app launched its invisibility feature we drafted a press release about the new function which resulted in hugely positive feedback across consumer and tech press. We also capitalised on the app’s own data, analysing trends in dating – drafting press releases and providing exclusive stats to top titles.

So far, a total reach of 797,945,664 and a PRV of £7,365,871  has been generated with coverage in The Daily Telegraph, ITV News, Sky News, London Live, GQ Magazine, Metro, MailOnline, The Independent, Yahoo, Evening Standard, The Times, ShortList, Business Insider, Real Business, Closer Magazine, The Sun, Now Magazine, Glamour, Time Out & MSN as highlights.
